Recently added a new line (line 6) to an exsisitng KX-TD816AL.
I worked out from the user manual how to assign co lines on phones etc from customer programming however I am hoping to match the exsisting 5 lines which auto answer on pickup. I realise this is in system programming. I was hoping someone could PM the details on just changing this setting. Not a system I have programmed before, I am trying to help out an exsisting customer.
Any help would be appreciated.

Scar, a little more Info. please.
Auto pickup so that if line 6 is ringing you can just pickup a phone and be connected or auto pickup by an auto attendant / voicemail system?

The extension must be assigned to ring on incoming calls (use 603 DIL 1:N) for day ringing and 604 for nite. Each extension is assigned ringing on specific CO lines, so make sure this new line six is assigned to ring at the desired extension.

Auuto pickup so when line 6 rings you pick up the phone and you are connected to line 6, No aa or vms installed, very simple system.

Does the phone that rings and answers line 5 ring on line 6? That's your 603/604 programming.
If that is correct, then go to the phone and dial Program 99 22. That turns on Preferred Line Answer for all ringing lines.
