Here is the scoop.

DBS 96 CPC-B
Key Voice Small Office 4-Port on a PC

Changed out the CPC-B and re-programmed last Thursday. I collected all of the data from the old CPC and put back in the new one. Everything is good except for one small glitch.

2 Companies share the DBS 96 and the Key Voice.

Company A:
This company has an AA that serves as a back-up for the receptionist. I have set the day delay for port 151, trunks 1-10 for HG 1 (600). It answers after 4 rings, and is working flawlessly.

Company A HG is set up as follows:
Pilot # 600
Hunt type 0
Transfer ext 600
Transfer timer 04
Members: 144,145,146,147

In the Key Voice, this company (A) is answered by Routing Box 800.

Company B:
This company has an AA that serves as a back-up as well. I have set the day delay for port 152, trunks 11-13 for HG 2 (601). It answers after 4 rings, but it answers with the wrong AA. It answers with the AA for company A.

Company B HG is et up as follows:
Pilot # 601
Hunt Type 0
Tranfer ext 600
Transfer timer 02
Members: none

This HG should be answered by Routing Box 601 on the Key Voice.

Since the DBS will not allow the same DN's to be in 2 different HG's, I have to find the correct CFWD integration sequence that will allow me to create a phantom HG with no member DN's.

I put the old CPC back in late today to go over the HG programming again for these two companies. When I put the old CPC back in, both companies worked perfectly. I have checked everything I know to check. I spent 6 hours on-site today trying to get this to work. I checked day ring, night ring, day delay, night delay, night 2, HG ringing for D,N,DD,ND,N2, Hard and soft CFWD on station ports, etc. All parameters are the same for the old CPC as the new CPC.

I have tried the following CFWD integration for the HG's, (this is the procedure for the set integration as well):
on/off
prog
auto
*
HG number/ext number
HG number/ext number again
hold

I tried it with a * and # between the 2 HG/ext #'s with no luck. Nothing I have tried works. I was left with leaving the old CPC in until I can come up with a fix. I know it will work, because it currently does with the old CPC. I just need the one small piece I am missing, the proper integration procedure for the HG's.

Anyone have any ideas on this one?

Prog|Auto|* follow on digits only apply when a phone is forwarded. AFAIK, hunt groups don't forward. If you "undo" the hunt group forwarding (prog, auto,*,xxx, hold), I suspect you'll have the same results.

You need to pick an unused extension port (if digital, put a junk phone in the switch room, if analog, no phone is needed,) and then route Company B calls to this port on a delayed basis. Program permanent CFWD on this port and the "Prog,Auto,*,XXX,601,Hold.

I think smile
