I just purchased Panasonic KX-TA824 system. When I hooked the Verizon FIOS Fiber Optics telephone lines to it and turned the power switch to "On" position, nothing happened and the "RUN" indicator on front pannel did not light up.
What may be the problem?

Are you sure you have power to the unit? Even if the FIOS lines won't work on the switch (which I don't see why they wouldn't), that has nothing to do with the "RUN" light. It's only an indication that the unit is powered up.

Really appreciate you guys prompt responses :-)
The problem turned out to be a defective system delivered to me. I had it exchanged. The RUN light lit up and everything works on the first try.
Thanks again for your kind responses and patience.

Now I am trying to set the time and date on the KX-TA824. The manual requires using a PT phone and the procedure starts with hitting a "program" button on a PT phne. I am using my old KX-T7030 phones and the Overlay does not have any key designated as a "program" key.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Look at the back of the phone and you'll find a SET/PROGRAM switch.
