I have to setup a BV board for an 824 system. I did the initialization of the board and expected to go off hook icm, dial 7231# and start recording a message for each phone but i keep getting an error message.(fast busy) I am expecting something similar to the TVA with the "Welcome to the Panasonic VM" prompt. Do you use 725 to enter VM?, as you know, documentation is spotty and all over the place. I had to dig into the feature, user and installation manuals to piece the info together. There is nothing on the panasonic web site relating to installation of the built-in VM. I haven't enabled anything in the system programming relating to TVA or TVS voicemails. customer just wants the calls to forward to a GDMB after 4 rings. I think the BV is capable of handling this scenario. any suggestions? Speaking of 824's. I can't find anything in the documentation relating to defaulting and initializing this system. does it require an initialization? thanks for your help in advance. Tj

Don't expect the bv to act like a tvs or tva bound to annoy you! what rev system is this?did you enable the exts that require bv in programing ? did you start reading about bv on page 31 of operation manual and page 15 in the feature guide? you really have to look at the table of contents in the programing manual it tells you how to do a data clear if you really want to!

CW, thanks for the input. i finally found the initialization procedure in the 824 manual, once this was completed, i re-initialized the BV card and it started to work. Interesting thing, i had to forward all the phones to make the BV function the way the customer wanted it and found the LED's flashing on the call forward. I called Panasonic tech support and was told that icm 716# and then hanging up would stop the call/fwd lamp from flashing which it did. Tj
