Hi...I have been looking for the answer to my specific situation but have not yet found it so if this is a dup of another topic, I am sorry.
I want to reconfigure the clients' current AA to do a direct Centrex Transfer to another branch office.
Client has a KT-TD1232-7 with an older KX-TVS100 using AA to answer all calls. Has 5 VoIP CO lines provided by Vonage (who requires #90 after 'Flash' to Centrex Like transfer an incoming call). The TD1232 is set to use 'EFA'. The TVS is set for 'FXA' on all transfer sequences. They have 3 offices and one primary customer line for incoming calls. The TVS AA is using custom menus to route callers to internal extensions and several extensions that are forwarded to CO lines and the other offices. When callers choose to route to other offices from the custom menu; they then are transferred to an extension (ext. 23) which is then forwarded to a co and number to the other offices. The AA then connects the two calls and the called reaches their desired destination. This is working!
In addition to the AA doing this CO to CO transfer, the inside staff can do a direct Centrex transfer on incoming calls to the other offices by 'Flash' - #90 - (Dial Tone) - Speed Dial other office - # or hang up. This works great.
The problem: The client is complaining about low or no volume on the AA routed calls (I have read about solutions to this here by adjusting gain on the cards). Gain adjustment only addresses the volume issue. The other is efficiency and use of lines. The AA is using too many lines doing this Co to Co transfer. Direct Centrex transfer seems a much more efficient way to handle this routing but I cannot figure out if the TVS100 can actually do it and if so what the exact configuration and transfer sequences need to be.
Does anyone have experience with this? Can a direct Centrex transfer be done with this equipment? If so what is the specific Transfer Sequence for this to work?
Thank You!!

First of all I dont think the kxtd has gain control( not in the uk version ).the second problem is that the EFA in the system is for external line flash, the FXA in the voice mail is a sequence, as in f = flash, x = dial extension and A = answer.and in a internal sequence to hold the call and transfer it to extension.to keep it short I don't think it can be done other than the current set up. I hope someone will prove me wrong for your sake. only thing is upgrade to Kxtda or kxtde and put vpn with gateway cards and it becomes one system. Ken

You need a TVS X25 version to use EFA transfer.

Hi brokeda, how does that work, does it send all calls out external or can you select by options on AA to go external or internal route Ken

Thank you both for the feedback.
It was my thinking that the tvs needed to be upgraded as well.
brokeda, you said the x25 supports the EFA direct centrex transfer, does that apply to the TVS200 as well?

In the mean time,
Is there a way to quickly address the low volume issue that is present with the CO to CO transfers?
From what OBT said earlier there may not be any gain controls on the TD1232 but how about the TVS100? It is using the TVS102 Cards.

Mr G. I was looking through the manual for the tvm the uk version of the tva, the only thing I could see was transfer out?. it is probley me , we dont have centrex here, when you say flash #90 is this on the same line as the call comes in on or is it a second line you pick up. Just like to know.

Once the call has being setup the co to co is through the KXTD system.
