Is there a way to create ring group on TA824?
Customer wants appointment calls to ring on all extensions. (Thru custom service)
Thanks

I understand. Tech support told me to wire an extension back to free CO line and ring that extension. Is there any other way? Thanks

Not that I'm aware of. Tech. suport is referring to a "loopback", and even then, one call at a time. You may want to play with having the custom menu go to an extension that is used only as an external ringer and then use a key on each phone programmed with a call pickup code. --------------- MrG

Nothing is impossible. If this were my install, I'd be looking to turn on the DISA and create a code that rings all phones in an extension group. That solves the appointments problem. Intercept has to be addressed, as all calls have to go to the VM and never return to the trunk or the user is in AA jail.
I would imagine that you can get most of your CS prompts on the DISA card and it does have secondary levels for directories.

Carl, the extension group will only ring one phone at a time. you would be better with the loop through or upgrade to tda

Huh? Don't tell that to my 824, it may stop working, but since they're closed for the season I can fix it in April :-)
An upgrade is always better, but the built-in DISA card answers the question "is there another way."

Thanks Guys,
I will try what Mr.Gemini said. put a ringer on spare extension and program the buttons for call pickup.
Thanks
