Receptionist left Co. now person(s) upstairs have to answer inbound calls, as of now they are looking for the light on line DSS key and answering. Is there a Reception/manager application that would solve this?
Or do I have to add Ring and Appear on required sets?
Thx
Lenny

2connect, you need to activate ringing at that port, you can always de-activate it once you get a new receptionest.
You also have to make sure that the CO lines are not DIL1-1 to the receptionest.
Leave 401 alone, look at 603, wink

One thing I have done is create a different mode (break or lunch) that rings the phones you want. Activate the mode at the receptionist phone during this temporary time frame and deactivate it when a receptionist is hired. Receptionists come and go, you may need this feature again.

Depending on the telephone set in place, you may be able to program the station to ring, the use the ringer volume control on the telephone set to turn ringing on/off. The advantage to using the tel set volume is Ringing Line Preference allows the ringing line to be answered by simply picking up the receiver.

it's all tip and ring
