I am a novice at Panasonic Phone Systems, however I have a customer who wants me to make an adjustment on her Panasonic Electronic Modulator Switching System. This is the 616 Easa-Modulator for Panasonic system kx-61610.

As a background, her ex husband had the system installed, got divorced, the installer left town, now I am asked to work on the system. A couple of questions.

1) I know that some Pansonic Systems have a controller software that connects via serial cable to a computer for adjusment. Does this unit do this, or is this programmed from the individual phones?

2) Can anyone point me in the direction for a downloadable system manual for this unit?

3) The issue I am having with this system is when picking up the handset, the phone goes immediately to intercom. Is this a phone adjustment or programming adjustment?

any help would be appreciated.

welcome to the forum

for a manual click on the manual link at the top of the page here.

as I recall all programing for this can be done through the phone .

when you lift the handset and get ICM 9 should get you a outside line , that also can be changed in programing

Calder, welcome
There is no software for that system.
It's just a small, analog 6 by 16 and as Skip had mentioned, all programming is done at port 1.
For auto CO, you may want to go to a station and go off hook on intercom, dial 721#. wink
BTW, that's not in the manual.

I am a novice at Panasonic Phone Systems as well guys and just like calder i have a friend thats owns a business, she uses Panasonic Electronic Modulator Switching System, 616 Easa-Phone, I was asked to add a jack in one of her office and to connect this new jack at the SYSTEM, what is was weird was that i connected a ph directly into the system to make sure before doing anything that it will work fine without any programming, well to not make the story long...I was not able to get any dial tone out of it, but when and conencted this ph back to were was conencted before i started getting dial tone there...So if there is any programming for new locations where u want a ph connected pls let me know, because right now i have, No idea am confuse now, if there's is anyone out there that can help me out on this one I will really appreciate it...

Thank you guys

That 616 (not to be confused with the later KX-T61610) was a PBX system that was made for only a few years. It was not very popular because it could only use single-line phones. but still my friends IT guy is not even in the country, this guy never has anything documented, so i need some help here to make this new line work

Thanks one more time guys

If you don't have dial tone at the Tele Jack you ran wire for, you have a wire problem the red green gives you Dial tone. I think. The yellow black is data.

Draz, welcome
Would you please complete your profile for us. Also in the future, please start a new thread. TIA
When you went to the system with the set, did you also take the line cord or did you have a different one?
You have to have two pair, (4Pin) line cords.
