I have a customer that I deal with locally that has another office out of state that I am trying to help him with. It is a DBS, but as of yet I do not know which model or CPC. The phones are VB-43233. They are saying speakerphone capability has "vanished" from the phones. They have monitor, but no mic(2-way). Mute is not active. They have one phone that speakerphone still works on, but they say phone by phone, speakerphone has left. I thought it might be that they have enabled Headset mode, but that did not work either. Any ideas?

Take "bad" phone, plug into extention port that the "good" phone is in.
Does the "bad" phone now work?

Yes= Station Port bad / Programmming problem
No= Physical Phone problem

Both scenarios are highly unlikely. I'm suspecting an April Fools prank smile

If it *is* a phone problem, I just checked eBay, and vb- 44223 (newer style 22btn LCD sets) can be had for the price of a couple of Big Macs

Thanks. I do not believe I did not think of that! I just sent them an email to have them try it, however I am highly suspect that all of the phones but one would have gone bad with the same symptom. And also suspicious that all ports would go bad with that quirky of a symptom. Add on to that, that there is no program for speakerphone. Since I made the first post they have found a local vendor to have "boots on the ground" , hopefully they know the system well, because apparently I do not know it as well as I thought.
