I programmed a night button on a kxtd 1232(code 73) about 2 weeks ago and I got a call from the customer today saying that when the button is pressed for night mode it takes a few minutes before it changes modes. In other words if the button is pressed for night mode, after a few minutes the button lights and the system is in night mode. When it is pressed to return to day mode the light stays on for a few minutes and then goes out and the system is in day mode.
Does anyone have an idea about why it would have the delay before changing. I am going out tomorrow and would like to know where to start looking. Thanks

I am going out tomorrow, but the customer says that it is taking several minutes. In fact he said 10 minutes on one occasion. Have you ever had them operate on a noticable delay.

There has always been a delay on the TD.
More like seconds or 1 min. But I believe the displays shows Mode chg immediately. Been awhile since I looked.

I went out today and of course the customer was overstating the time of delay. I tried it a number of times and it was about 5 to 8 seconds each time. The display does show mode change immediately. If the delay is routine then that is that. It's just that on the 816 they didn't notice a delay. But anything under 10 seconds is not that bad.
