Customer requested a system to match the other site, a KXTA 624 with KXT 7730 sets.
Purchased and installed a KXTA 824 with KXT 7731 sets.
Defaulted the system, did the programming via the extension. Minor adds plus one-button dialing.
Customer complaint is a "pop" and the volume drops. Only on one line. Move that line to another CO port. Trouble goes with it. Wrong, it isn't the line. CO ports 2 and 3 are doing it. Finally the first line does it, also.
Went in to look at the programming via computer. It comes up as a KXTES824! The docs, the system, everything says KXTA except the software!
Inserted the disc, downloaded the program, uploaded the software from the disc, everything okay, I think. Waiting to see what happens Monday.
Why would it have the "ES" software? Who knows! Why when the "A" is loaded, the problem goes away? Is there a big difference between US and European dial tone?
Comments, please.

Strange alright, you must have got a euro unit, you can select country's in prog 995, don't know if it will give you USA though. We have used US systems here and they work fine, only thing we change is ihe internal/outside line ring are single/ double pulses, you can swap that in prog.as for dial tone internal on system are the same.
I am sure you could change the firmware to USA system.

OBT, right, it is working fine (I think). It all shows KXTA now. But the big problem was the noise and loss of volume on the incoming calls that went away when the program was reloaded.
