I have a KX-TA 624 system with voicemail and I want to put a Valcom door answering system (V-2901-A) and questions were not asked right and so the line 6 that I thought was open was not. I do have open station ports. Can I go into one of these and then forward all calls to a group of extentions? Thats my idea Iam willing to take other suggestions.

Peter, I don't know which Valcom unit you have but it should work as a push button activated SLT.
You would have to use an SLT or butt set to program that extension port as a "hotline" or pickup dialer
for the extension number of the group.
I would also remove all ringing and CO assignments to it.

The V2901A must connect via a CO Line port only.

Doesn't the 624 have a proprietary door phone/controller? Although it probably cant be arranged to ring all phones. John C.

Ok you guys aren't helping me here, Can I use a KX-T30865(doorphone) and KX-TA62460 card have the door phone ring multi exts and still the strike plate I have in place
