Hi There,

Is there any way to reset the password on a KXTD-1232 system without defaulting the entire system.

We have taken on a new customer who wants programming changes but we do not really want to default if we can help it.

PM me if you can help.

Many Thanks.

Are you programming on a phone, I take it? I have software on a computer that reads the info from the computer, including the password, automatically. The software is panasonic programmator and you can get it at regsoft.com I believe.

the uk unit has a software for it, but the programmator will not work on it. As for automaticaly getting the password again not the uk unit and would be surprised if the USA unit would get the password if changed from default

What OBT and zachatl are trying to tell you is, "Default" is the only way to reset the password. frown Before you do it, get every phone's button programming and capabilities, including any toll restriction and stored phone numbers. Guaranteed customer will NOT know 1/2 of the phone numbers that are stored in the system! John C.

Depending on the software version, there was a back door way of getting in to programming without defaulting the whole system. This is in the uk.
