I'm setting up a KX-TDA200 and I'm using 24-port patch panels (8p2c) with an RJ-21 on the back to connect to the DLC16 cards.
As a matter of standard practice, since the system phones use d1/d2, where do others change the wires over to position d1/d2 (position 3/6 on the jack)?
In other words, the patch panel connects the d1/d2 terminals from the DLC extension card onto pins 4/5 (the line 1 position) on the patch panel jack. The phone itself needs to have connectivity on pins 3/6 on the jack. The choices are, I can punch down the orange wires into the line 1 position on the patch panel that's connected to the station wiring, or I can punch the blue pair down onto the orange positions at the jack itself. Or is there a different way?
I hope this question makes sense, the solutions aren't nearly as hard as asking the question right half the time

.
Thanks!
