1 co rings 5 times line 1 lit

why after 5th ring wan't go to vmail?

The only thing I can think of is if the line is programmed as a DIL to ring 1 station and that station is programmed for call forward to outside line. Is line 5 programmed to ring different than the other lines?
Hope it gives you something to look for.
