Thanks for the info. I've not found those products in the US. It's tough having your favorite laptop pass away. RIP

I use a Belkin which is widely available in the US.
I had the same problem at first though, because the original 1232TD tool wouldn't recognize a non IRQ port. However the newer TD tool works fine now.
Of course after the fact, I found a laptop that has both, as well as XP pro for the TDA.

Interesting.....I have a Belkin F5U409 and have tried both TD tool versions available,4.02 and 6.02 with no luck. Belkin tech support says the model is not dos compatible. What model is your Belkin?

FSU257 is the Belkin part. My tool is 6.02a7. XP. The only anomaly is that it USUALLY maps itself to com3. I also use an external modem, and sometimes that changes the setting ![[Linked Image from sirius-business.com]](https://www.sirius-business.com/dunno.gif) You can find where you're at with the device manager after you plug the goober in. I had been carrying 2 old laptops for programming DOS, and then Windows. When forced to upgrade by the newest TDA tool, I tried the latest TD one, and it recognized the Belkin.SO I'm back to 1 box to lug around. ![[Linked Image from sirius-business.com]](https://www.sirius-business.com/yahoo.gif)
