I have a TDA50 with a single zone Valcom paging unit. When accessing the trunk the Valcom is connected to there ia about a 7 secong delay before you page. Is there a timer that I can adjust to take away this delay? Thanks for any help!

only problem with cutting down the first digit timer or second digit timer is that you have only 3 seconds to pick up the co line and dial before re-order tone kicks in and drops the co line set up a one touch button with co access code and 2 numbers it will stop the timers and the tones can act as pre page tones.

I tried pressing digits but the timer kept running until the 10 seconds were up. I have to move the system in 2 weeks so I will try what you said. Thanks for the info!

Why is the Valcom hooked up to a trunk port rather than the paging port?

Isn't there somewhere in the maintenance tool where # sign indicates the end of the dialed number? Since this is on a trunk port it would immediately open up the sudio after the # sign.
If the paging system were a talk-back unit, the trunk port is the only way to have 2-way audio.

the # at the end of the number is for ISDN and voip. the interdigit timer keeps the mic muted on analogue lines to stop back ground noise affecting the dtmf tones, it releases the mute a second or 2 after 2-3 digit is dialed as timer only looks at first and second digit on the analogue line. there used to be different timers for analogue and ISDN and internal but now they are all on the one timer.
