Hey all, I am not familiar with Panasonic at all, but have an acquaintance who needs help with their voice-mail system. I had them e-mail me info on what they could see in the phone room and the following quote is from said e-mail. · Panasonic 8EXT Digital Super Hybrid System (says this on the top part of the panel) · Panasonic 4CO Digital Super Hybrid System (says this on the bottom part of the panel) · Comswitch 5500 (this is a small black box that appears to plug into the system) First, please let me know if you have any questions about this information. If you can then put us in contact with someone that can help service the voicemail system, we would really appreciate it. Let me know if you can help out... since I can't tell what type of VM they have from this information. If you can help, the I'll PM you the contact information. Thanks everyone! Tony PS - if you need them to take a pic or get more model number information, etc. - just let me know!

Tony, from the hardware that they have described, there is no voice mail hardware present at all. Could it be that they are using CO-based voice mail service?
Of course, they could be using a PC-based voice mail that could be located anywhere on the premises.
Yes, a picture would certainly help if you can provide one.

Thanks for confirming that Ed. I e-mailed them again and will update, when I hear back.

I have also heard of the Panasonic voicemail system being installed in an office by a desk instead of the "phone closet" so it is easier to access for pc programming. It would appear to connect similar to a digital phone connected to the phone outlet. If it is a TD 816/1232 the Panasonic vmail is probably a TVS50 (small, the size of the 8 Ext module) or a TVS 100/200 which is a little bigger. It would have a similar "look" to the phone system.

Okay, just got word back : The voice mail unit is TVS50, which works with the phone system. We need to be able to modify and program the voice mail unit. We are having no issues with the phones themselves, nor the functionality of the VM system, just that we can’t program and change it. We need to know how to rename extensions but more importantly how to change our message that people hear when there is no answer.
