The XDP port (paralleled analog phone) defaults to the intercom line. Is there a way to make it so that it defaults to the next available CO line instead? I've looked at the manual and I do not see anything obvious. I've found out how to make the proprietary telephone default to a CO line, but not the paralleled analog phone.
This would be useful so that things like fax machines, credit card terminals, etc. do not need to be programmed to dial 9 first.

you can set up a hot line on the extension dial 742 (then number to dial for service ie 9 for outside line or ext number if it is to call an extension by going off hook. ie courtesy phone) followed by #
Then 74 1 turns it on and 74 0 turns it off
in timers prog 204, set it to 0 if you want a line straight away or 1-8 seconds delay before a line is given

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I'd seen that before but I couldn't remember where.

That would be why I couldn't find it--the user guide is missing from the documentation set (I have the feature guide and the programming guide). I'll have to print it out and add it to the binder, now that I've tracked it down.
