Hi guys,

I have a customer with a TD1232 with ISDN PRI and they have several extensions that ring on the same number. They want to add an extension to the group. I went through all the programs but could not figure out how to make the new extension ring with the rest of the group. Does anyone know the program number that I need to go to. Also, can an extension ring on two DID's.

Also is it possible to have the voicemail answer a DID call that rings more than one extension.

Thanks

How many are ringing now?
I think you can only have 8 DNs per port.
That would be set in 454
Are you sure it's not a phantom that is ringing on these extensions?
"can an extension ring on two DID's" yes

You can have multiple DID ring one ext via DID tables DAY/NIGHT. (DOS tool - SYSTEM/ 19:DID
May not have 1 DID ring more than 1 phone via DID tables DAY/NIGHT.
You may have 1 DID ring multiple phones via Group Ring. DOS TOOL- SYSTEM / 14:OPERATOR/MANAGER/EXT GROUP
Use the floating number of the group as the ext in DID table. Set group you want to use as R ring in SYSTEM/ 15:MISCH/CALL HUNTING
Put ext you want into that ext group.
To have these nubers answered via overflow to vm set the line group to intercept to VM day/night.
They are referenced to co line 9 for group setting.
They will be answered by the main greeting unless you have a mailbox number same as the ring group.
On some of the older v Mails you can't
set vm box to floating number.
pri/DID is some what restricted in th TD system.

Users can log in and out of the ring group.
As MR G pointed out you may also use Phantom ext, but that is another can of worms.
Phantom will give you a separate lighted key for the ringing line but you can't log in or out.
Never tried it but it appears in the DOS tool that you can put unlimited DID's to one ext.
To use Intercept you must adjust timer in the Timer section.

Okay, I think I understand what you are saying but I don't have the DOS tool. Can any of this be accomplished using a PT. I didn't program a log-in log-out button which may be why the ext didn't ring.
