On a kxtd1232 with tvs-125 a expansion card was installed to add ext but when you dial 165 it does not let you get to the VPS.I need to go onsite but it is a long drive so hoped to get a clue what it could be before I go. As always thanks for the help.

I think the key to this issue is "an expansion card was installed". Was it an 8-port Extension module installed on a single cabinet, or was it a second 1232 "sic" connected to the first cabinet? If it was the first, was is installed on the middle or top slot? Even more, are the phones on the new module working at all, and if so, what intercom numbers are they?

It might be as simple as "Off hook Preference" is set to an idle line, and therefore 165 is going out on a co line and going nowhere....

I will have to check when I go out I know it is a single cabinet. I think they said ext 130 is the first new I have also been told some of the ext have been renumbered. I was out there before but only to replace a phnoe and then could not get into VM, could not access with USB to sreial conv.

Glad to see that fixed it. It's amazing how so many odd things can happen and a reset fixes all. I hope the customer doesn't climb on your back about, "Well I could have done that!"
