Have customer sharing a KXTD 1232 with about 30 phones in one facility. They have two independent departments. Department "a" is in extension group 1 and department "b" is in extension group 2. Customer wishes for pages through their overhead speakers to occur when group pages are performed for department "a" but not when group pages are performed for group "b". Both departments "a" and "b" have all call page buttons that will page every phone and also all speakers in the entire facility which is good for everything in the place, They also have seperate group page buttons for their individual departments. However when "a" wants to page their phones AND their speakers simultaneously they can only accomplish this by doing an all call page. This also pages through the phones of department "b" interuppting them, which they dont want. Any way to also make speakers page when a group page is performed? Only paging in KXTD I know of is all, group, or external. Thanks for any info.
It's called the law of NANG, "No Asky, No Getty".

Take a PT phone and use the speaker output for the page input, (at the backboard). Put that phone in group A. Page only will be that ext number. All PG will hit that ext plus all other phones. Group A will be phones in A plus external. Group B will just be extensions.
