Hi everyone. I run a KX-TD816-1 at home and recently got a used KX-TD1232-6 that I intend to upgrade with. I have a version of the Panasonic DOS program for my 816 (E1232A.EXE) that I use for programming as well as backing up the database, but it doesn't work with the 1232. Given that these are discontinued systems, what are my options, other than the Programmator, which I have found not totally reliable? Thanks!

you most likely don't have the last rev dos program the last revision works with all versions the caveat is that you will have to reprogram the 1232 from the ground up! when you open your dos program what version does it say it is?There is a factory windows version program for the rev 3 and above.

When I start the DOS program, it says it's Ver3.21MUK, with a copyright of 1997. What is the latest version?
Do you mean that the latest DOS version can't just read the configuration from the PBX? Does it have to do some kind of initialization that wipes out the current configuration? Does the Windows program have the same caveat?

I just opened my dos e1232a and says its 6.02A7 2002
the latest dos version will connect to and back up all versions .There was never a a way to covert a reliable data base to the next revison .The windows version came out so late in the game that most of us never bothered with it. The windows version is only good for rev 3 or 4 and above . If this is a household I cant see it being that big of a deal to program it even through the keypad if you had too...
