upgraded from an 824 to TDA50. Now door ring on doorphone is less responsive. have to hold it in a long time to get it to ring. I also have it hooked up to a relay for my home automation. I get the relay signal instantly, but often the bell doesnt ring until press and hold a second time. also the ring itself from any of the co's seems like its on a delay. Line light goes on a second or two before we hear the ring. Seems like a delay issue. anyone know?

Which doorboxes are you using not the old KX-T 30865's by any chance I noticed you had to mash the button pretty hard on my front door but thought that contacts were crusty and hadn't got around to swaping it out........as far as the co light lighting and a delay on ringing it just is what it is caller id is delivered between the first and second ring and it take the panasonic that long to process and ring...if your are not using caller id by all means turn it off in programing.

thanks. found the problem. i had paired the line from doorphone to my home automation relay. i used a separate pair from the second pair of contacts on the doorphone unit and it works perfectly now.
