Hey all - just running in to an interesting problem. I have 4 Custom Service Menus defined - one for each of the DAYTIME, NIGHT, BREAK and LUNCH modes. Now the NIGHT and BREAK modes do as I intended - they answer the phone from the get go and present a menu to the caller - which then routes the call. Both of these options only transfer to voice mail for the most part.
However - I cannot get the BREAK mode to work properly. I have the Break mode setup to present a menu and then transfer to extensions per the menu. The problem I have is that this one refuses to answer right away - instead - if a call comes in for this custom service - it is routed to extension 101 (which it shouldn't be) and there is no menu presented.
As a side note - my Daytime mode works as expected (no menu, rings all phones in the building). However, there may come a time where I need to switch this one have the system answer right away as well.
Whether or not the system uses the custom menu to answer seems a bit arbitrary right now - can some direct me on why this is doing what it's doing?
Thanks.

what system is it, are you using the system to change modes.
Check the dil settings for the lines in break mode, it should be pointed to the tvm 50
“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.”

Hi - the system is a TVM-50. We use the versa button on the phone to change the modes. Pbx control is enabled but I have also tried it on Manual and Automatic modes to the same end.
What is DIL?

If it's not working either it is not setup properly or the database is corrupt in the TVM. We would need more info: What PHONE system is it connected to? What software level? What is a Versa button? Never heard of it. If you mean Time Service button, that may be setup wrong. Again, can't really help much if we don't know what PHONE system you have. Sounds like Break is not set up right in the phone system.

Hi, we have a KX-TDA30 as our main system.
The KX-TVM50 has the following software versions: IPL: 0.07 Main: 0.51 DSP: 0.17
By versa button, i meant versatile - i think it may be also called Flex keys, etc - basically the button I have programmed to be the Night/Break/Lunch/Day toggle button.

Funny thing - between yesterday and today - with no changes - the custom service that I have setup to answer the phone and go straight to the extension voicemail box - is now ringing the extension.
Is there a time frame before the changes take effect some times? Like a delay? Do I need to reboot the system after changes?

you most likely tested your work before saving the dialing menu screen you modfied on the TVM console...
