What would be the cause for a all call *33 to not transmit overhead or thru the sets only from any handset using a carbon transmitter. None of the carbon handset cut thru with paging but work fine station to station, no problem paging from the 7000 sets. Swap the ext to a condensor handset and it works fine , the way it did when I put it in 17 years ago.I can't even page with my butt set. I've had this happen on at least 3 other systems. Power supply? Thanks Mike

Other than that the 74 series all had condenser mics and never had a problem

I've never seen or heard of your paging issue.

Mike I have had this happen to me once with SLT'S or a butt set not being able to page. One unit simply powering it down and up fixed it on another I had to totally dump the programing and reload. I never caught on to the carbon condenser thing. That is interesting. I noticed that it would page but at very very low almost inaudible volume. You probably already recycled the power so make a back up and try a reload. Good luck

1. What's an external zone paging device, a Valcom 2006 or equivalent? 2. Why did you tack onto a 10 month old post. 3. How can a Panasonic ext page send tones to your external zone pager?
