Hi, Have a TA824, w/ several KX-T7731 and FWD/DND and the speed dial for the extensions (just the KX-T7731s) are blinking. No one did any transfers or DND settings on their phones. I have them set to B/NA to forward elsewhere (not one of the KX-T7731s, but to an SLT). I tried intercom, 0, no luck. Power-cycled PBX, still blinking. Did a Normal reset of the PBX and that fixed it. What causes this and how can it be fixed? What am I missing?

If they could come up with a 24 button APT and solve some little things like ring groups blinking lights and 100-400 directory numbers the 824 would sell a lot better.

It is just FWD on B/NA, not all the time. Tried disabling DSS Lamp checkbox, still no luck.

HELLO! If the phone is Forwarded, the LIGHT blinks all the time to indicate the phone is Forwarded. You CAN NOT turn it off. (unless you un forward the phone) If you Forward the phone in any condition it is forwarded all the time. This is in the manual. RTM!!

A blinking set of lights when the phones are set by the system to forward on only B/NA seems ridiculous. Seriously distracting. Is there any way to disable these blinking lights? If it was FWD for DND, then yes, I would love blinking lights to tell me that I need to turn DND off when I am back, but for a persistent B/NA forward, it makes no sense.

Call Panasonic and rant to them they may fix it in the next release or you could sell the system you have now on ebay and buy a TA-W 848 or a KX-TDA 50G you can reverse the light patterns on the fwd/dnd lights which is one of the first things that I reverse in system programing.

This is why Professional phone people DO NOT sell the 824. It,s ok for a house but otherwise very rudimentary. Don,t know how many customers I have spoke with that wanted CHEAP and brushed off any advice I had to offer about later satisfaction and got an 824 somewhere else instead of my TDA50. Then later the same questions: FWD lights, Ring groups, Better phones for the almost the same price, upgrades, etc, etc, etc, etc.
