I have a money poor customer I help out and they have a KX-TA 824 that is equipped with the base cabinet and one expansion card.
They have three lines in use now and I need to add a new fourth line to each phone and make it ring. That is all I need to do.
I have a .pdf programming manual but I am not seeing how to assign that CO 4 button to the phones.
Appreciate any help, Thanks, Bunnie

Ah picked yourself a fun one there This comes out of the kx-ta624 Manual but I dont think there is much difference. Set the switch in back of the phone from set to program press the button you want to program as a line key press # Enter line number 1-6 press Auto Dial/Store you wont find the instructions in the installation manual its in the Operations manual. Go figure I guess because it was geared for installation in homes or something. Anywho hope that helps oh and when your done put the memory switch back to set

Thank you so much.
They have newer phones with a [Program] button so I don't think there is a switch.
You sent me to the right place, the Operations manual and I found the 824 Operations manual on deleted as advertising
I should be OK, some times you just don't know where to look, kinda like the old AT&T manuals that never had the same name for a feature as any other phone system.
Thanks, Bunnie

As I remember it: push program, CO key,1, store. The display on the phone will tell you if you are doing it correctly.

I had a template for a 7731 in my car and here is what I finally did, and thanks to everyone who helped put all the pieces together.
[Program] * # @ @ @ @ to get into programming (I changed the very easy guess sequential password to @ @ @ @ for this post.)
Program 405 allows access to CO line [Program] 4 0 5 [Next]=Spkr (dial in CO) [Select] to toggle between Enable and Disable [Store] then right arrow to next extension, etc. [End] [Program]
Program 408 allows ringing on CO line [Program] 4 0 8 [Next]=Spkr (dial in CO) [Select] to toggle ring or not [Store] then right arrow to next extension, etc. [End] [Program]
I have this saved for future reference, and it is really odd that Panasonic has a programming manual but puts the programming in the Operations manual. Go figure that one out.
