Currently the TVS is configured to answer a CO call on 5 rings. If someone leaves a message in the system mailbox (998) and forwarding for that mailbox is set to forward to Ext 101, Ext 101 will ring for one cycle and never ring again. Is there a way to turn the message light on, on Ext 101 to indicate that a message has been left in the system mailbox? I can't seem to find anything on this in the manuals yet. Thanks, Don

Ok, is there any way to be notified when a message is left in that mailbox?

if you make extension 101 the operator in the voicemail system ( it can't have its own mailbox )it should be assigned 998 as its mailbox, if not you can set it up as mailbox 998.

The system will allow me to delete mailbox 101 but will not allow editing of "mailbox settings" for ext 998 so I see no way to assign box 998 to ext 101.

it is assigned by assiging 101 as the operator on the voicemail, not by editing mailbox's
