Can I connect both these units together so I can use VoIP? I have two offices in seperate states and would like to have them tied together.

The 824 doesn't have voip gateway capability, replace it with an ncp and you can do that.

It can be done with MultiTech units but on both systems you have to have unused CO & SLT ports. A VPN needs to be setup between the MultiTechs and it's a pain in the butt to get the MultiTechs programmed correctly. MultiTech will give tech support though. And BTW, depending on how many VoIP calls you want between systems, the MultiTechs can be expensive. Considering the cost that could be involved, as stated it could be cheaper to replace the 824 with a NCP 500. Panasonic has pretty good prices on bundles for the NCP.
