Tough one here:
I added 2 kx-tda7685s to a taw848 system w/dect cs. They seemed to register fine & I added them to the existing PS ring group: had dial tone, grabbed outside line, called other extensions ok. But, when I tried to ring the 2 new PS phones over intercom from another extension, system returned a busy signal.
Then it really got weird: when I called in from an outside CO, the new phones rang, but, when I picked up the outside call, the handset freaked out-- light stuck yellow flashing, softkeys weird, froze. This happened on both of the newly registered handsets. I had to remove the batteries on the handsets to get the phones back to normal. Handsets powered back up ok & displayed their extension number and name, had dial tone. I tried to deregister the units, but the system showed them as not registered. I deleted the base off both handsets which got them back to initial state where phone asks for registration. When I tried to reregister the new extensions (even under different extension numbers), the system is returning error "E0342FF Operation Impossibility". I power cycled the system to no avail. I'm stuck. :shrug: Can someone help me out I hope? I never had trouble registering PS's before. The one PS that was on the system prior to registering these new units works fine. I was thinking to maybe remove the one PS as well as the CS then re-add? Thanks for your help and happy new year to you guys.

well now that sucked...it's fixed, but I ended up having to reinitialize the system (had to do upgrade anyway so not total waste).

let this be another lesson to back up your dssys every time you mess with anything on the system.

Over here the new model dect will only work on v5 software. A real pain when replacing a dect handset
