The last notes I checked said that 5.1.2.3 HAD the correct drivers for Vista/W7-32bit ONLY. Is that what you're running and did you reinstall the software?

I guess I should mention Im running XP on my computer (never said I was using Vista or 7).

tried to install it on my xp , gave up put it on a vista
