I simulated a power outage on our phone system and when everything comes back up the TVA50 always starts in Night Mode. I have to 782# then 781# to get things back in sync. Once this is done everything works in synce again. Is this a bug?

Yes - it is set to automatic. I can manually override with 782 and 781

Don,t have power a outage. Put the system and VM on a 1200 VA UPS.

Power has been known to go out for 12 or more hours here, usually during storms. I have a 1000VA supplying the KSU and VPS. Not sure of the run time I will get. Is this just a quirk? Probably due to the way PBX mode handshake works on the TVA...

If this is any kind of hotel or Inn and you don,t have a generator, I'd want my money back and not come again.

Wow, having a bad day?
It's the nature of where we live, and you put up with the supply the crappy hydro company provides. On average our hydro goes out for more then a few hours a couple/three times a year.
When you come to stay bring plenty of batteries and books, and perhaps a little portable genny you can hang out of the suite window so you can watch TV.
It will probably be a little loud, so bring ear defenders and turn on closed captions.
Back to the question: any ideas?

If it's a nice place I would bring a Honda. You out in the Country?
Don't have many 824's but I think that's how they work.

Yeah pretty much out in the sticks.
Thanks for the info. I'm glad I caught it so I can write some instructions for getting all the stuff working.
I do apprecdiate you help! I think I have 95% of the stuff worked out the way I want.
TVA custom service has grown lol. modes for day night and away AA running good, MOH, suite voicemail (run by us - we pass on a message, but the suite phones light up if there is one.)

I think I have worked out why if anyone is interested:
My first custom service (1) is for night (just the way I started making them) I think the TVA boots up into custom service 1 mode. Even when set to PBX control (APT) it does not ask the PBX what service to be in, rather it waits to be told by the PBX. Pity, as I will have to jiggle things around, but maybe useful info for you techs.
