Hello,
Im sure its a real simple fix & I for the life of me cant figure it out.
I want to setup an option during our greeting to dial a cell phone of an on call staff person (Ex: Press 6 or ext 115 to Reach the on call person). I tried to set this up in the custom service menu of the TVA200 by choosing the option outside CO and added the number. However when I call the main number and press 6, it hangs for like 10 seconds and tells me incorrect entry. I have even tried adding a 9 in front of the number and I recieve the same results.
I also tried to add an extension on the tda100 (Say 115) with the outside number and recieved the same results.
Im trying to make it as easy as possible for this staff person as in the event of snowdays, or if they are on the road for several days they can be reached as soon as possible.
Any help is appreciated.

Make sure that the extensions involved have a COS assigned that allows Off premise transfers. Phone ext and VM ports. Make sure you have good passwords on the admin boxes of the VM.

I do mine by creating an ICD number that is forwarded to an outside line. eg the customer's extension is 101 and his cell is 401. ICD 401 is forwarded to 9+ his cell. Now, a transfer via VM to 401 follows all the transfer rules.
We've also pointed single digits to an ICD group for the same purpose.
