Like I said, I'm just guessing but that's how my configuration of the TA1232 works at one of my customers. Once the message is recorded in the extension group's mailbox, I move it to an extension's mailbox. Sorry if this doesn't apply to the TD1232. Does not apply !The key word is "intercept" and you will not get follow on id with configuration .

I also set the TVS75 for custom service. I do not have a mailbox 101.
The intercept, as expected, works and after four rings sends the user to voice mail prompt. However the prompt still asks the person who dialed for extension number. [/b] You still need to record a greeting for that custom service and then define that menu like obt said so call gets routed too a mailbox.

If you had had a mailbox 101 calls would wind up here because it is the lowest ext number

Unless if you have your CO DIL to one extension and that ext is forwarded to 165, that is the only way to get into that mailbox greeting. If the CO line is ringing a group or Phantom, and you are using Intercept, then the call will intercept to 165 and use the PORT control. In your VM Port settings, have the call answered by Custom Service #1. In that CS #1, record your home greeting and either have the caller press 0 to leave a message or HOLD to leave a message. Then in the CS #1 program, program 0 to = the mailbox of the phone extension that should retrieve messages. Program NoDTMF also to go to that mailbox no. This is what I used to do. IF you want all phones to get a message light, send the 0 and No DTMF to mailbox 100, create that mailbox and program a message waiting button 100 on all sets. Hopefully the 1232 is a -4 or higher.

Shawn, can you hear that echo...
“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.”
