I have a tva50 that the customer emails out with voice attachments. They have no email server or business type internet connection so I cannot use the ISP SMTP server. It works fine using Gmail if I use the actual ip address of Google Gmail's SMTP server (xx.xxx.xxx.xx) but if I use smtp.gmail.com it fails. The TVA50 will not accept it. I am entering this in "parameters/email integration/SMTP Server Address (name)" in the TVA50. I would like to use the name here rather than an address for fear of the address changing.

in utility, go to lan settings and make sure you have a dns server setup
You could also try to use a pop e-mail setup
