just removed an old Executone IDS 228 with T1 interface and replaced it with a TDE 100. I cannot get the DID's to translate to the correct extensions. The T1 on the Executone had a D4 interface and used AMI signalling. It was setup as a Tie line interface. It used wink start and I was receiving 4 digits from the carrier. I have the TDE 100 with T1 up and running. I did the following in the card property screen, changed Frame to D4, line code to AMI, In the port property screen, I changed line type to Tie, trunk prop to Public and start signal to wink for all 24 channels. DID Table (10.3) screen is setup with DID# programed for 4 incoming digits (which are the same ones that worked on the executone) and DID destination day, 3XX (01 to 45) and night 500. CLI ring disabled. I have no problems with outgoing calls and everything defaults to the operator (301) on incoming calls but I am translating 4 incoming digits to 3 digit extensions. can this be a conflict?
If I setup the T1 system trace for channel 1, I can see the 4 dtmf digits received.
Does anybody have suggestions to try while I wait an hour for tech support to answer tomorrow?

Was the old system using 4 digits I don't think the t1 set as tie will use the did table. Try setting an extension as a 4 digit ext matching one of the did's and see if it comes straight in.
If it does you could use second number plan to convert to 3 digit

turns out the proper settings for a ami d4 with did is wink dil public.

Tj also when you said you used a straight cable did you mean a usoc 8 pin line cord or a regular data patch cord that you plugged in broadviews iad ? I tried originally pluging a data patch cord directly from their iad to the card on the tde and did not work .We had to plug into this jury rig 2 usoc 8 wire jacks stuck together danging in the breeze on the end of a data cable and pins 12 45 were reversed that said broadview on it and that worked....

Sorry, got a little overwhelmed with work and I was unable to update sooner. I found the problem to be the actual digit "4" which was the leading digit in the translation of the DID table. my DID Bank started with 4XXX and when I started testing some other DID's (ie. 85XX) they translated to the 3 digit extensions. i remembered that I had this problem once in a Nortel MICS system that if the leading digit on the DID number bank was being used somewhere else in the system programming, it would not allow the DID to properly translate. Sure enough, I found the "4" being used in the system numbering plan screen, 2.6.1 and removed the "4" and the DID's started working. I am sure there is a work around for it but I didn't need the "4" for anything else on the system so this works (for now) thanks for the feedback especially kxtvet.
