We use a DBS 576 and are having problems getting the calling number to pass through from a forwarded extension. When someone calls a DID, the number shows up properly on the handset. When that same person forwards their phone, to say a cell phone, and someone calls them from an outside number, the caller ID on their cell phone shows up as unknown. If they get a call from an internal number the proper number shows up.

what do you see on the display of your cell phone when you make a normal call from the 576 do you get unknown or do you get the main billing number btn?
you won't get the did number from an ext as outgoing caller id unless you have a qsig setup properly and you are using a isdn pri and I am not even sure that 576 supports clid !!

We do see the DID of the caller on the cell phone when making a normal call.

We use an ISDN PRI, and in discussing a recent problem with our provider, they offered to make it so we could see the DID of the caller.

Before the provider made that change everything showed up as the main billing btn, including forwarded calls, which now show up as unknown.

Thats why its not showing the did now after the "change"and is showing unknown because the system has able to support qsig and send clid info to the co!
