I have a KX-TD1232 phone system that used to have an external voicemail system on it. That voicemail is long gone and customer purchased a TVS200 to add to system. I went out to site today and everything went pretty smooth. Connected the system using digital ports (old external vm used analog ports). All programming was done using the telephone. VM Integration seems to be fine. I can call the vm on all 4 ports, I setup the mailboxes and they take messages just fine. All the forwarding (busy/no answer) is working also. I cannot however get the message waiting light to work. I can set it using another phone so I know the light works on the phone. However it doesnt set when a vm is left. I tried on several extension and it does not work on any of them. If you call the box the message is there, however no light. I did find a Hunt Group (Group 8) that was set to VM and still had the old vm ports listed, I changed these to the new ports but it made no difference. Is there something I need to turn on (on the phone system, vm system, user box, etc.)? Any help is greatly appreciated.

get into tvs via rs-232 terminal emulation and if you didn't do a "quick setup" make sure integration is set for KX-TD 816/1232 dpits integration and get into cos of service and make sure light message waiting light on each message is on and repeat if you are using more than one cos service and if you have not already you have to set each mail box has its ext defined if ext number of a box is missing it won't light lights!!

Thanks for the fast reply! I did not do a "quick setup" so that might be my issue. I'll try all of that on the next visit and let you know what I come up with.

if this a early model td you may have to set the tvs200 for inband signaling? If you have 4 analog exts from the td wired into the tvs and dpits is available you have a lot of work to do !
