We've sold Telrad for some time but to date have avoided the new IP stuff. I was just wondering if anyone here has had some experience with it and had any comments. Either good or bad. Does it go in well? Can a "Normal" voice tech install it? Any trouble after installation?

They are just comming out with some pretty slick equipment that is way ahead of the rest. SS just got out of the school so he would know more.

I have a freeride working now.In fact I have a freeride working on a Toshiba DK16e and will be installing one on a Nitsuko DS01 when it get here. The Helix works great on LAN or WAN. The 3015IP phones look and work just like the 3015 DF phones. As far as us old phone techs installing, no way. You have to know networking, and not just hooking up your PC to you DSL line, thats why I am looking for a IT person to help out.

I was talking with our VP of marketing last week and he had just returned from some big Telrad presentation. He is convienced that within two years sales reps won't even be talking about VOIP. He says that's just whats going to be sold so it won't even make an interesting selling point anymore. He tells me that Telrad believes that the new systems can be installed by "Normal Voice Techs". I think the definition of a "normal voice tech" must be changing since it appears that they'll have to have an IT backgound for at least a few years yet. Ralph
