Our company wants to evaluate the computer-telephony integration (CTI). The software we are about to buy will connect phone system via Intel® NetMerge™ CTI works with switches that comply with the ECMA CSTA specification. The problem is that we have Telrad Digital Key BX. It is looks like the manufacturer is no longer in business. Another problem - I am not expert in telephony. We have a company that does maintenance for Telrad, but I even do not know what to ask. Intel® NetMerge™ CTI website has a list of switches that can work with Intel® NetMerge™ CTI. Telrad is not in that list.
My questions are:
Telrad: Is the Telrad Digital Key BX can be called a switch? Does Telrad has a card or module that can provide work with Intel® NetMerge™ CTI?
General: By which way (using what interface) CTI equipment connects computers? What solutions can be used to work with Intel® NetMerge™ CTI for a small office of 5-10 phone operators?
Thanks Gregory
