After disconnecting a t-1 recently and deleting the extra routes ( we are using lcr ) My customer is unable to transfer inbound calls externally. Their process was to press the xfer/conf button, dial 9, then the external number. After the first ring, the operator will hangup. I can duplicate this problem. I had the operator try a trunk patch (feat 87) but don't know if we did it right. I have defined trunk priorities. I have verified that we aren't simply in an all trunks busy situation. These are loop start analog. We were previously on ground start analog trunks. Any suggestions????

Thanks,

If you are on pots lines now you will need to have the centrex feature on the lines and program a flah button to use it.

Are you talking about actually converting the lines to centrex? My customer doesn't want to do that. Can you tell me why the T1 external transfer worked and the analog external transfer doesn't?

Thanks,

It was a feature comming from your T1 supplier.
You don't have to convert to Centrex just put the trans feature on the lines you want to use.

The Trunk to Truck is basically a conf without you in it.
You would have to establish the conf call then tell them that when they hear the tone one of them must dial a DTMF digit to continue.
To complete the patch pres [Feat] and dial TP 87 and the parties are joined.

If I were you I would put trans on the lines and use a flash button which would be much faster.
