Anyone know of where to get the serial CID units for the 8/18 box we got over here?
I understand we'll need 3 of them for the 3 lines we have....
Also if anyone knows the specific brand name and/or model number of a unit that will work for this purpose I would really appriciate it!

You only need 1. The MLX82 unit will report CID for up to 8 lines. You will also need a CHL,COL or RS232 card to connect the MLX unit too. But on SBM3 I dont think so.

Ok I took the time to go look thru the book and found that CID was released for release 3. But as I said before 1994 was a long time ago and if you spend the money on a MLX doesn't mean that it will work there many be chips that need to be changed and as of last July Telrad does not support the pre release 7 stuff. But who knows are you feeling lucky  I see a nice new MPD2 32 with onboard 4CO line card that is CID ready. You can use all of the other stuff phones cards PS cabinet just switch out and program.

If you put it on the sb3 system, You will only get the number (no name) no call log either. You need to goto sb6 for that stuff.

I probably see a bankruptcy court if I did that... how much does something like that run? BTW: anyone sell the dual 9 pin to rj-45 (1 male 1 female) for the DVC card we have on imagen? I'm putting together another box as a backup and I can't seem to find 'em. Geoff
