Now I have an analog phone that does not have a voice announce went when the phone goes unanswered. All the voicemail setttings are correct, as the others are set, the user has the voicemail setup correctly, but all you get is a ding and not the callers voicemails busy, no answer, or other voice prompts.

did you set the Call forward no answer feature on the set to go to VM?

If you are getting a ding then it is going to voicemail on no answer are you sure you saved the greeting after recording it ?.
