I got a question concerning the license on an Ipex2 card. Will the License on the Ipex2 card transfer over to another Ipex2 card? I would think that it should because if my Ipex2 card goes out surely I do not have to buy another license with it. I would figure that I need a Telrad Dealer to do this for me and if so can any of you guys do this? Thanks for the help and Merry Christmas!!

Thanks,
kkell

You do need a dealer for this. Pm someone when you need the transfer.

Tony thanks alot for your input. I will PM you when I am ready to do this. Also got one more question. I found a IPEX2 that has 128 port license. Will My 384 port license work on this IPEX2 card to give me 384 ports? I guess what I am wondering is I assume all IPEX2 cards have 384 ports and you have to have the license to utilize all 384 ports. Thanks again and may everyone enjoy the Christmas Season!!

Thanks,
kkell

Yes you can transfer the ports. But not all IPEX2 cards are license for 384 ports. Telrad has to have your card on file with the 384 port license. If they don't. you need to prove you have that license for that card. You have to make a log file. This can only be done if the card is working. So i would make a log file of both cards ASAP. If you need help collecting this information, contact a moderator for help. It's above a normal Tech question.
