Using eManager 3.1.0.8 and Gateway 2.2.0.1 to Connect to the IPEX2 in a TelRad Digital Key BX.
I do most of the support on the system, but recently I had to have a hard drive replaced on the TVSe. While here the tech that replaced the HD connected to the ipex2, I guess to make sure we had a backup. At any rate, ever since, I have not been able to connect emanager via the gateway using rs232. Any ideas what could have gone wrong? I am likely overlooking something simple, but have yet to figure it out.
Thanks

Then either your settings have changed in the gateway or your plugging into the wrong connection on the Telrad.

Prior to the parts swap, this had been connected forever it seems. So long in fact, it would not surprise me if I plugged it back in wrong after finding it not connected. I cannot recall if it had a db9 to rj45 converter in the serial connection of the ipex2 that "walked away" or if it was rj45 in to the ipex2, but I have tried both ways. Can you confirm best way to connect? Is there a setting on the ipex2 that dictates how the gateway has to connect?
Thanks.

Turns out the cabling and setup were all fine as it was. During lunch I shutdown the system and restarted it and everything works now.
Thanks.

That was going to be my next suggestion if all was well with the others. Glad you got it going.
