I am trying to have an extension number forward to an outside number. Ex: I call into vmail, dial "555" which is an analog line, and want that call to ring on my cell phone. I tried sending "555" to a co trunk port and then assigning that port to 1 phone in the system. I then put my cell number in *49 speed. when I test the speed number it goes to my cell, but if I dial "555" from another ext or vmail, it gives 1/2 a ring and goes to vmail. Any Ideas??

You didn't say what type of VM you're using, but on some you can set the transfer to 9,xxx-xxx instead of an extension. Hope this helps. Also,I will check to see if the system allows a trunk to trunk transfer, that would also cause problems.

AS DOC SAID WE REALLY NEED TO KNOW THE VM MAN AND MODEL. IF YOU ARE USING STRATAGY GET THE MANUAL AND READ ABOUT USING ICON BASED PROGRAMMING MARTIN

We need more system info? Do you have Centrex lines?? You can program your VM to flash (XFER) a call through voicemail to another number.
