An end user contacted us wanting to know how to use the DND feature from a keyset that is using the DND labeled key as a COL. Is there a dial-able feature access code to enable and disable and what is it? Thank you!

sorry there is no code that i know of.
you must assign it to a key. it is a good policy to sell a cust as many 20 button sets
as he can handle for this very reason. people
don,t like to learn codes. they want one
touch access to features. it also makes you look better after the sale.(unless you are not concerned about repeat business and referals)
good luck
martin
p.s. no doc for dk says anything about dnd codes, however an old perception user manual
says int*2 you can give it a shot i don,t think it will work though. they completley revised the software for the dk series

Martin,

Thanks for your reply! Yes, I totally agree with your assessment of the situation. In this case, the end user has come to us in search of a new system for their impending relocation. However, when I met with them in their office I noticed the continual interruptions and suggested the use of DND. They replied they were unable due to outgrowing their keysets. I was hoping to find an interim solution as it seems to be a big concern.

THanks again for your reply!

if they have spare buttons on there set you could program the dnd button in program 39
the dnd code is 498.
as all the other techs have mentioned in past posts, be careful with Toshiba programming it could be very tricky if you don't know what your doing

DMCSALES,

Thank you for your reply to my post. The trouble was they did not have any spare buttons due to the number of COL's & the model of phones being one with minimal buttons. Thanks for the "heads up" re the programming.

SSPhone,

Thank you for your reply to my post! The other keys were all in use and needed as programmed. This end-user was a relocation prospect that chose to stay with their former vendor. Therefore, this is no longer an issue for us. But, thank you very much for your interest in assisting!!
