Need to add phone to DK40i system. Currently 8 phones with 4 CO lines. Have 2 new COs from Bell that need to be added to all phones. New phone currently has intercom capabilities but I haven't been able to add existing CO lines. What programs do I use to add these new lines? Thank you in advance for your help.

Additional info: I am a systems administrator for local hospital system. I am more familiar working with a ROLM 9751 CBX. One of our new offices has a Toshiba Strata DK40, and I have been given the job of learning and maintaining it. I bought the Toshiba manuals but I have not been able to figure out how to add this new phone and to add the 2 new lines to the existing phones. I do have 20 button phones throught he facility and I have identified the port numbers. Any help would be appreciated.

i have to assume you have already connected the dk to the co,s. you will use program,s 39 (for line appearance)and 81-89 for ringing. if you are really scratching your head at this point. call your local toshiba guy you will be glad you did. toshiba proging can be quirky for some people. if you are not in deep shit crimp some mod ends for you co,s and you should be in bidness. good luck

Martin - Thanks for your reply. Would you mind explaining "crimp some mod ends for your co's" further. If I can't figure this out, do you know of a Toshiba tech in the Greenville, SC area? Thanks.

i am refering to the connection you must make between your demarc and co3&4 in your switch. hopefully the installer wired that for you and you only need jumpers. lookin the installers link on sundance at the bottom of this page to see if you have a participating company near you

factory authorized toshiba dealers have this in their catalogs. maybe in THE MART. you will also need a tsiu card. if you are managing a small system sometimes it's not woth the expense. you can do all of the programming on any extension
