Check and be sure you have a speed dial button programmed as such on the set.

For the * and/or # key to work it is my understanding that you have to have a button programmed as a speed dial select button on the phone. This is done by assigning the code 497 to a button in prgm 39.

Out of curiosity and nothing more, can anyone give me a good reason why the "*" and "#" buttons don't work on the DKT phones without a speed-dial programmed? I have always wondered why this is so on the Toshiba systems....

The * acts like the speed dial select button and the # acts like a Redial last number. If you program a speed dial button will free the * and you don't have to dial *# to activate the * or # keys.I hope that helps.
